Chilean progressive rock band formed in the early '80s by Ismael Cortez on acoustic and electric guitar, Francisco Cortez on bass and cello, and Felix Carbone on drums. Tryo's first album was released in 1996, mixed by Gonzalo Herrera. That record was followed by 1998's Crudo and 1999's Patrimonio. In the year 2000, the band's performances were positively reviewed by Mexican press. In September that same year, Tryo started touring Argentina for the first time.
